We also encourage renovators to make a ‘scrapbook’ with pictures and magazine clippings, of rooms that you were impressed by, or contain elements that you would like to build into your new room. With their visual nature, scrapbooks are really useful in helping us to identify the type of room you are trying to create. There are also many online tools available to create these idea books including sites such as houzz or Pinterest.

Bring your ‘wish list’ and ‘scrapbook’ along to your appointment and this will give us a great place to start planning your renovation.

TECHNICAL DRAWING & SPECIFICATION

As we progress with you on creating your dream kitchen or bathroom, we provide you with professionally drawn floorplans, elevations and as an option we can also offer 3D modelling that brings the design to life to give you a visual representation of what the finished product will look like.

As your design evolves, and you decide on styles and finishes for your new kitchen or bathroom, we create a product specification chart, that outlines and details a range of products specially selected by our team of designer to perfectly complement your renovation.

The team at Better Bathrooms & Kitchens are a dedicated team of highly professional tradespeople and the holder of both Registered Building Practitioner and HIA Membership Certificates. We take great pride in our work and are committed to delivering quality workmanship with your kitchen, bathroom and laundry renovations that exceeds your expectations.

Better Bathrooms & Kitchens is unique in that we are expertly equipped and qualified to perform all internal renovation works including structural renovations such as the removal and addition of walls, floors, ceilings, windows and doors. THE RENOVATION PROCESS

Better Bathrooms & Kitchens provides full project management of your renovation works from beginning to end. We work with a team of reliable and trusted tradespeople to complete your renovation, or alternately we are happy to work with your chosen tradespeople to ensure a smooth renovation process. Our project manager will be in constant contact with you during the build process, keeping you up to date with events on site and ensuring that you are always in the loop as your dream kitchen or bathroom comes to life in front of your eyes!

 

PROJECT MANAGED RENOVATIONS

1CONSULTATION

The first step in your renovation journey begins with a visit to our showroom to discuss your requirements with one of our friendly and experienced designers. During this initial consultation, we will talk about what you would like to achieve and determine the options available to you.

You can arrange a booking with one of our talented designers by calling us on (03) 9370 7288. We strongly recommend that you bring photos and measurements of the space and any “scrapbook” images of ideas that you like to the appointment as this helps us to better determine your requirements.

2QUOTATION

Better Bathrooms and Kitchens offer obligation free quotes that outline all work to be done, inclusive of associated building materials and allowances for fittings, fixtures, appliances and wall and floor coverings as specified. All quotes are accompanied by a schematic design of your new or updated room created by our talented designers.

3ACCEPTANCE OF QUOTATION

Once the quotation is accepted the detailed design process will commence.

4DESIGN PROCESS

We guide you through all aspects of the design process from schematic design to the completed build, as well as helping you to choose the right selection of products, fittings and fixtures to ensure a truly great design.

As your design evolves, and you decide on the style and finish for your new kitchen or bathroom, we create a product specification chart, that outlines and details a range of products to choose from that have been specially selected by our team of designer to perfectly complement your renovation.

5TECHNICAL DETAILING OF PLANS

As we progress through the design of your dream kitchen or bathroom, we provide you with professionally drawn floorplans and elevations and that bring the design to life to give you a visual representation of what the finished product will look like. Our draftsman works closely with our designers to accurately detail and annotate your design, and will continually revise the drawings with every tweak of your proposed kitchen or bathroom. This ensures that the completed build reflects all that we have discussed and decided upon.

Once the plans for your new kitchen or bathroom have been finalised, our project manager will book an onsite inspection at your home, where they will fully explain the impending construction process and answer any questions you may have. You will be provided with a Building Contract once all Technical Details and Specifications have been finalised.

6COMMENCEMENT OF BUILDING WORKS

Construction begins with the carpentry team, who strip the designated area clean and begin making alterations as per the finalized plans and elevations. Plumbers and electricians will then remove electrical and plumbing assets, and also make any changes required as per the design. All rubbish is placed in a skip and removed from the site by our team as part of the process.

7DURING YOUR PROJECT

To prevent damage to unsealed/uncompleted areas during the build process, a waterproof membrane will be applied to appropriate areas. Once dry, our tilers will accurately lay all the tilework as per our professionally drawn plans. Cabinetry, bench tops and splash backs will then be completed, followed by all the fittings and fixtures. Finally, plumbing and electrical services will be professionally fitted and certified ready for use.

8COMPLETION OF WORKS

Your designated project manager will tour the final project with you one last time, to ensure everything is completed to the high standards we've come to expect from our experienced and trusted renovations team and make sure that you are completely satisfied with the build.

Once all work has been completed on site, we will meticulously clean your brand new space which is now ready for you to enjoy!
